Description: This is the second quest in the series by me. To play this quest, you will first have to complete Kilrathi Intrusion, the first in the series. In this quest, the player is sent on a dangerous commando mission.
Difficulty: Average
(The difficulty is based on completing the quest in a well-equipped Centurion.)

Playing it now... I'll do a full review of the quest in a few minutes, when I finish the quest.

Sorry I couldn't do the review yesterday...
I didn't have much time to play last night, and I had to go to sleep. Anyway, this is another great quest Flyboy! I like the "commando" perspective sort of scene. It's simple and straight-forward actually, go to a pirate base and kick pirate butts... Yeah that's about it.
Here's my review (1 being the least, 5 being the greatest)
Plot - 4/5
Not much to say here. Basically, a bartender suggests you visit commander Arbisov. Commander Arbisov askes you to join a raid against a Kamekh, because this is a "last resort" and the rest of the confeds are somewhere else, but that was the last part. This time, commander Arbisov askes you to join a group of commandos and wipe out a gang of pirates.
Creativity/originality - 5/5
Yeah, I think this quest is creative. Well, Ascii Sector isn't all about space combat, so don't forget about the ground combat aspect of the game. It was pretty fun if you ask me.
Dialogue - 5/5
Clear and simple. The dialogue was clear enough that I understood what I had to do right away, which is a great thing.
Gameplay - 5/5
The gameplay is fun. What's more fun than giving innocent pirates a beating?
Difficulty - 4/5
It's too easy, but I gave it a 4/5 anyway because at least the quest isn't impossible to finish...
Overall I give this quest a 5/5. The average is actually 4.6/5, but there isn't an option for that in the poll, now is there? I guess that still counts as a 5, because I have to round it to the nearest ones. I was very bored and had nothing to do at all, so I thought of the idea of reviewing quests in the quest database.

Thanks for the rating! I have one question about your "gameplay" rating..... how can pirates be innocent?

I like both of your quests! Though I think the ground fighting was a bit easy.
Are there more quests from you coming? I'd like to do more jobs for the Commander.

Replayed this quest today...
One thing I didn't realize the first time, and now took advantage of, is that this quest is ideal for newbie players like myself to go visit the pirate base. If you have a weak ship, the two escorts will help you a lot in getting there. Getting out of the system again after the mission is a bit tougher, but if the pirates attacking you after launching are defeated, then the next encounter in the asteroid field can be avoided by navigating around the nav point.
Engaging in a few old-fashioned knife fights and buying some sweet hidden compartments is really worthwile. _________________ Retros tick me off!

Hmm... I never realized that. Just out of curiosity, what weapon were you using in the quest?

On the base? Auto-Laser Gun. But after the gangsters were finished, I took some time to enjoy myself... _________________ Retros tick me off!

Much better than the first! I enjoyed it. Makes one feel all warm in fuzzy inside when one pops a pulse round right between the eyes of a gang leader...
I actually had to restart a couple times. Mainly because I also had a fixer mission there. I had to kill some guy who was protected by three bodyguards. Regardless, the commandos came in handy .

Good! I'll have to go back and see where I was on that... it's been a long time since I've had a chance to work on more quests. Which reminds me that I have to get going on the VQG project.

VQG?
I like the idea of a tutorial quest. I definitely know how to play this game... and I did not need a tutorial to do it. I like tutorials though. Best way to learn how to play something... actually play it. If VincentFirePony finished his or someone else made one, I would definitely play it.
I'm weird like that.

VQG is the next "thing", haven't you heard?
It's a GUI/editor? for making Quests, that Flyboy has gracefully taken upon himself to engineer.
Looking forward to testing/trying it. Don't give up!

I have no intentions of giving up, it's just that school has been very heavy, and plus since I was previously planning on using a not-very-well documented Java graphing library for the visualisation, I haven't put much time into the project yet.But I'm hoping to start some real coding on it soon.
